Jayden comes from a marketing background, with hands-on experience in how businesses position themselves, communicate clearly and turn attention into action. That perspective plays a large part in how we approach websites. Beyond how a site looks, we think carefully about what it needs to communicate, how people will move through it and what the business ultimately needs it to achieve.
Blake Byrne
Co-founder
Blake has more than five years of experience in game development, bringing a strong technical and development-focused background to JB Evolutions. His experience with interactive systems, software and user experience influences how we approach development; thinking through the details, solving problems properly and making sure the finished product works as well behind the scenes as it does on the surface.
How We Work
JB Evolutions is a New Zealand-based web studio founded by Jayden Murdie and Blake Byrne.
Our aim is straightforward: to build effective websites that properly support the businesses behind them. That might mean rebuilding a site that no longer represents the business accurately, making it easier for customers to understand its services, or developing something more capable when the current website has reached its limits.
We bring together marketing, design and development so each project is considered from both a commercial and technical perspective. We also keep the team deliberately small, which means we can stay closely involved throughout the strategy, design and development rather than passing work between different people and losing context along the way.
The people you speak to are the people doing the work. That helps us maintain a clear understanding of the project from beginning to end and keeps communication, decisions and execution consistent.
We care about the standard of what we produce, too. We’d rather spend the time getting the structure, details and implementation right than push something live simply because it technically meets the brief.
JB Evolutions works with businesses in New Zealand and overseas. Most projects are handled through email and video calls, and where time zones differ, we plan communication and meetings around what works for everyone involved.
